Absent is Lisboa’s space for time - an offline third space and café in Lisbon, created in response to a world that is becoming increasingly digital and disconnected.

HOW THE SPACE WORKS
Your phone goes into a secure pouch when you arrive. It stays with you, just offline. If you need it, step outside anytime.
You choose how to spend your time here. Come alone for quiet focus. Bring someone and have present conversations. Join a workshop, work on something creative, play a game, sit with your thoughts or write them down. The space holds room for all of it - deep conversation, making things, exploring ideas, or simply being, without purpose, pressure or expectations.

From books, journals, music and board games to art supplies, craft tools and materials for hands-on activities, Absent offers an abundance of choice. Use what's in the space or bring what matters to you. Your unfinished novel, a game to share with others, materials for a project or ideas you want to work through. We also organise in well-planned gatherings, workshops and shared experiences to help you explore, make, connect and find routines that feel good to return to.
